Data Platform Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and evolving Perth Airport's Azure Fabric Data Platform, ensuring it is stable, reliable, scalable, and secure to meet the business's growing needs, along with the following:Oversee the operation, optimisation, and security of the Azure Fabric Data PlatformDesign, manage, and optimise data pipelines, storage, and compute resources to support analytics, reporting, and APIsCollaborate with analysts, engineers, business teams, and vendors to improve data delivery and usabilityImplement standards for data quality, governance, documentation, and access controlMonitor system health, costs, and performance, applying improvements to maximise efficiencyProvide training and support to strengthen data literacy and self-service capability across the airportEnsure compliance with WHS and data governance requirements, protecting sensitive and regulated informationAbout you:To be successful in securing this opportunity, you will have the following:A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience7+ years of experience designing, building, and managing data platforms and data product workloadsStrong skills in Python, SQL, PowerShell, Power Query, and cloud-native data integrationDemonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure technologies (Fabric, SQL Server, OneLake, Fabric Data Factory, Purview, DevOps, Apache Spark)Proven experience building and managing resilient data pipelines across ERP, IoT, and SaaS applicationsStrong knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworksExperience with Agile, ITIL, and DevOps practicesExcellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and explain technical concepts clearlyA problem-solver who can adapt in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus and integrityAbout Us: We offer a dynamic and supportive team culture, a contemporary workplace with great facilities and a modern approach to work/life integration.
