**About the Role**:
anzuk are searching for passionate, reliable and flexible teaching assistants and SLSO's to work in Special Education Schools and Support Units in Sydney; these schools support children and young people with a range of social, physical, emotional and behavioural needs. The schools classes from k-12, ranging from ages 4-18 years.

You will be working in both groups and one on one, supporting students with additional needs. The schools we support work with a unique and varied pupil population, and therefore the requirements and skill set the schools are looking for with their staff are equally as varied.

**Experience/skills**:

- Relevant Education Support or other qualification (preferred)
- Previous experience in education, disability or coaching sector (preferred)
- Flexible and adaptable to suit several different settings
- Comfortable assisting students' toileting needs K-12 (preferred)

**Application Requirements**
- **NSW DET SLSO number is REQUIRED**:

- **SEN Experience/Interest REQUIRED**:

- Valid Paid Working with Children's Employee Check
- Current detailed CV outlining relevant & recent experience to the role
- Mandatory DET Certificates (E-Emergency Care, Child Protection, DET Anaphylaxis)
- Details of at least two supervisory referees within education and/or another sector involving children

As a SLSO, you will be responsible for the enrichment of special needs children's education, tasked with enhancing the school experience of the young people at this school. This is a great opportunity in a growing establishment with excellent support to build experience working amongst young people with autism/ Asperger's syndrome and social emotional mental health difficulties.
