Job Description
As a
Senior Software Product Engineer
(Fulfilment), you will:
Be a crucial member to drive our products forward. Work closely with
product managers
,
product designers
and fellow
product engineers
to enhance Skutopia's feature set, delivering value for our customers.
Design and deliver
high quality software
. You will design our software for today and the future, gather requirements, seek feedback, and launch solutions that make a meaningful impact.
Collaborate with fellow engineers, product team members, customer success, and operations staff in fulfilment centres. Engage and take inspiration from different viewpoints and challenges.

Adopt a

From a tech perspective, we're working with TypeScript, Node, React, Postgres, GraphQL. Most applications use Event Sourcing and follow a Functional Programming paradigm. We use Pulumi for IaC and our applications run on Google Cloud Platform. We value engineers who can transition between frameworks.
You will primarily work on our fulfilment centre products—building out our warehouse management system, integrating with physical hardware (robots, conveyors, box printing machines), and developing frontend solutions for our operations staff.
How we work
We operate in a remote-first environment with flexibility to work from the office. We emphasise collaboration and communication, ensuring people aren't left on their own. We use Linear and Confluence for tracking, Slack and Google Meet for communication, incident.io for incident response and learning, and a mix of asynchronous and synchronous communication to limit unnecessary meetings.
