**About the Opportunity**

The objective of the Education and Training Team is to provide training and assessment to prisoners with a rehabilitative focus. The Education Facilitator performs tasks associated with the teaching of skills that enable students to develop their literacy and numeracy abilities.

**What you'll be doing**
- Facilitate literacy and numeracy experiences in a culturally sensitive way to enhance the well-being and employment opportunities of students.
- Deliver scheduled training / education in accordance with the prison's core day.
- Design, plan, deliver and evaluate education programs for prisoners.
- Manage the Administration function and requirements of the role in a timely and accurate manner.
- Meet the standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTO) in all tasks.
- Actively participate in and contribute to operational meetings, and other meetings as required of the position, including Education and RTO meetings.

**About you - your ideal skills & experience**
- Has the qualification TAE40116 or sufficient to meet Schedule 1 in the Standards for Registered Training Organisations or will complete within six months of start date in own time and at own cost.
- Tertiary Teaching Qualification
- Ability to be open and adaptive to innovation and change.
