We are looking for a new team member who has experience in and a passion for processing payroll end to end, reporting and general accounting.

**Who you'll be working with**:
J&D Contracting are one of the most highly respected construction companies based in Brisbane. We provide a complete range of services for our clients, from building and maintenance services to repairs for residential dwellings, units, townhouses, and commercial buildings throughout the greater Brisbane region.

**What you'll be doing**:
An opening exists for a Payroll & Accounts Officer to join the team you will provide payroll and accounts support to the business, working within a well-structured and supportive team.

Key Duties:

- End to end processing of company payroll
- Preparing payroll and financial information/reports, as required
- Daily reconciliations, bank, and client files
- Reconciling creditor statements to XERO creditor ledger
- Batching payments within Xero
- Receipting of purchase orders
- Requesting and processing credits as required
- Processing accounts payable/receivable
- Debt collection

**What are we looking for?**

This opportunity would suit an experienced payroll/bookkeeper officer looking for that next challenge. What we need from you is:

- A Diploma or 3+ years relevant work experience
- Experience in a similar Payroll/Bookkeeping role
- Experience in use of XERO
- Proficient in MS Office Suite i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Ability to prioritise, organise and complete work within established deadlines and to maintain a consistent level of professionalism
- A can-do attitude, flexible and mature approach to work tasks and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively in a busy team environment as well as work independently
- Multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated, autonomous, reliable, and trustworthy
