Your new company

This privately owned engineering business is seeking an experienced Payroll & Accounts Officer to join their small team on a full-time permanent basis. The position will be based in their Pinkenba offices, which offers onsite car parking.

Your new role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • End to end accounts payable processing
  • Payroll - setting up new employees and processing payroll
  • Assisting with accounts receivable including collections
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks
  • Conducting general office duties including answering the phone, booking travel, arranging pre-employment checks and arranging catering.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:

  • Previous experience in payroll and accounts payable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
