**About the role**:
We are seeking a self-motivated, fast, and accurate Accounts and Payroll Officer to join our Finance Team to undertake the administration of accounts payable on a daily basis and payroll on a fortnightly basis.

This is a great opportunity if you want a full-time, office-based role where you will be working in a small supportive team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Processing all employee payroll data accurately and to deadline for fortnightly pay cycles;
- Creating and maintaining up-to-date employee records and transactions in both the system and hard-copy files, ensuring compliance with company policies and legislative requirements;
- Accurately entering invoices into Vista by Viewpoint within service level agreed timeframes;
- Ensuring all invoices are correctly authorised, including pricing and cost codes;
- Preparing and reconciling supplier statements;
- Answering supplier queries;
- Assisting the Accounts Payable Supervisor as required.

**About you**:
Ultimately, we are looking for someone who is highly organised, can work autonomously with urgency, has keen attention to detail, and has the ability to process a high volume of invoices, efficiently and precisely.

If you already have experience in a similar position in civil construction, this will be highly regarded.

**Whatever your background, you will need to have**:

- A minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts payable and payroll administration;
- Be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion;
- Proven ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities;
- And be an Australian citizen/permanent resident or have a current visa allowing you the right to work in Australia.
