Overview
Based in Brisbane (with flexibility for other NRMMRRD offices), this AO6 Senior Project Officer role sits in the Land Modernisation team and supports the transformation of Queensland's land administration services. This role is suitable for someone with strong project management skills, a strategic mindset and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver practical reforms. The Land division are the stewards for 60% of the land in Queensland and deliver land and property services across Queensland, including land and asset valuations; state land administration and on-ground management surveying services; native title claims and compensation; Indigenous land services; vegetation management; place names; and government land acquisitions.
Responsibilities
Support the delivery of innovative projects that modernise systems and processes, making them more efficient, customer-focused and future-ready.
Collaborate with policy and operational experts to design solutions, plan project activities, and manage delivery within budget, schedule and quality standards.
Contribute to work plans, identify priorities, monitor milestones, identify blockages, and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
Prepare briefing notes, reports, business requirements and project documentation to inform stakeholders and support decision-making.
Build strong relationships with colleagues across the department, external stakeholders and service providers to ensure smooth project delivery and practical outcomes.
Engage stakeholders early and often to embed changes that support the modernisation of land services and improve customer experiences.

Qualifications
Strong project management skills and a strategic mindset.
Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver practical reforms.
Organised, adaptable and proactive with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience contributing to work plans, monitoring milestones, and preparing project documentation.
Willingness to engage with policy and operational teams to design and deliver project outcomes.
