**Job Description**:
Primary Responsibilities:
To form part of our used oil diagnostics team, specialising in interpreting laboratory analysis of lubricating oils and greases, while ensuring that diagnostic results meet our customers' expectations in relation to quality of analysis and meeting agreed deadlines.

Some of the Specific Responsibilities are:

- Liaise with customers to ensure the scope of analysis is clearly understood /documented.
- Ensure customer/client turn-around times and agreed deadlines are met.
- Develop our existing business, enhance our credibility and add value to customers through providing appropriate sampling and analysis programs.
- Provide solutions to senior members of our customers that add value to customers and expand the scope of services provided by SGS.
- Identify priorities and assist in coordinating and maintaining laboratory workflow.
- With mínimal supervision, undertake in-depth analysis and interpretation of the results of analysis of lubricating and oils and greases.
- Provide relevant statistically significant field data, methodologies and technologies which are in line with the latest standards.
- Prepare and issue reports of a technical nature on specific tasks or assignments.
- Perform sample registration, identification of required tests and submission of samples.
- Perform a range of quality control and/or research and development tests.

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Engineering/Science.
- Demonstrable practical experience within the Oil, Gas and Chemicals industry, specifically Oils Diagnostics.
- Proven experience in condition monitoring, testing and/or maintenance.
- Understanding of general laboratory operations, QA/QC criteria, NATA accreditation and compliance requirements.
- Proficient computer software literacy.
