
Drilling Fluid Engineer

- Design and implement drilling fluid systems and products for both offshore and onshore operations.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the drilling fluids during operations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with geologists and other specialists to adjust fluid specifications based on geological findings.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting solutions during drilling operations.
- Prepare detailed reports on drilling fluid performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Manage the inventory of drilling fluids and chemicals.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Drilling Fluid Engineer, particularly with water-based mud systems. Experience with synthetic mud is a plus but not essential.
- Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry dynamics and operational requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on personality fit for team cohesion.
- Local candidates preferred due to regulatory hiring challenges.
