About the role
VCAT serves the community by resolving civil and administrative disputes and making decisions in human rights and guardianship cases. VCAT has embarked on a digitally-enabled service transformation focused on delivering enhanced online services for our users, end to end digital workflows in all our lists, and building an empowered and capable workforce who are receptive and ready for change.
The People Culture and Wellbeing (PCW) function is responsible for ensuring that VCAT's workforce has the appropriate culture, health & wellbeing plan, capability and organisation design to meet the strategic objectives of VCAT.
The Learning and Development Officer will provide high level coordination and administrative support across all initiatives that build the capability of our workforce and Members. This includes coordination of staff and Member professional development programs, managing the logístical and technical aspects of in person and virtual workshops, and implementing the Tribunals onboarding program for staff and Members.
The Occupational Health and Safety Support Officer element of the role works with the OHS and Wellbeing Management Coordinator on a range of administrative tasks which directly supports effective implementation of health and safety related requirements.

- Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records.
- Exposure to designing and developing Learning and development programs
- Impeccable organisational skills
- Some exposure to OHS related matters
