**The Opportunity**
We're seeking a highly strategic and systems-driven **Global Manufacturing Planning Manager** to lead material planning and production scheduling across King Living's global manufacturing network. Based at our Sydney Design and Support Centre, this critical leadership role will focus on optimising inventory health, reducing lead times, and standardising planning processes across our sites in China, Thailand, and Australia.
You'll partner closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and Commercial teams to drive data-led planning, implement MRP best practices, and play a key role in upcoming ERP transformations. This is a rare opportunity to reimagine the future of planning in a business that's redefining premium furniture at scale.
**The Role**
- Lead strategic and operational planning for production scheduling and raw material procurement across multiple factory sites
- Develop and maintain master production schedules aligned with demand forecasts, order intake, and site capacity
- Champion inventory optimisation initiatives to improve turn rates, reduce working capital, and eliminate stockouts
- Standardise MRP practices across regions and ensure accurate execution of material purchasing at the factory level
- Collaborate with Factory GMs, Finance, and Procurement on Make vs Buy decisions and material supersession strategies
- Build, analyse, and maintain advanced planning dashboards using tools like Power BI and Excel
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into the planning and scheduling process to enhance speed and reduce manual intervention
- Own planning modules within ERP/MRP systems and lead planning capability improvements ahead of future system upgrades
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve end-to-end manufacturing lead times and eliminate bottlenecks
- Represent Manufacturing in S&OP discussions and drive alignment between planning, production, and sales
**About You**
- You have 8-10 years' experience in manufacturing or supply chain planning, ideally across multi-site global operations
- You hold a degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
- You've worked extensively with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and are experienced in planning system optimisation
- You bring advanced data analytics skills and are proficient with Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and preferably SQL or Python
- You have a deep understanding of demand and supply planning concepts including safety stock, lead time optimisation, and capacity balancing
- You've worked on global or regional planning teams and are comfortable managing cross-cultural complexity
- You are commercially minded, capable of working across business functions to deliver cost-effective planning outcomes
- You are strategic, detail-oriented, and highly effective at implementing change across complex systems
- Experience in furniture, consumer products, or industrial manufacturing environments is highly regarded
