Production Team Leader - Somersby

Part of the CSR family, our Construction Systems Business Unit comprises of Cemintel Fibre Cement Systems, CSR Hebel and AFS Walling solutions. CSR Hebel is Australia's leading manufacturer of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC), an amazingly innovative and lightweight building material that brings building into the 21st century. The unique content structure of Hebel significantly improves time to build and requires less energy, resulting in the improved comfort of the new home.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the Production Manager and managing a shift team, you will be accountable for safe and efficient operations at the Somersby production facility, with a particular focus on Safety, Quality, Environment, Production management, inventory management, cost control, and continuous improvement.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Champion a safety-first culture within the factory in pursuit of a zero harm environment
- Develop employees into an effective team, with regular performance reviews for individual KPI's and team objectives
- Monitor and measure the quality of production output and equipment
- Develop, implement and manage competency-based training for the production team
- Maximise output through continuous improvement activities
- Design plans to improve quality, reduce costs and eliminate waste
- Involvement with new product development and efficiency projects

Skills & Qualifications required
To be considered for this busy and diverse role you will be known for your professionalism and ability to motivate others, your positive work ethic and your safety ethos. Ideally you will have;
- Proven success in a supervisory role, in a continuous manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of production operations
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Suite); experience with SAP will be highly regarded
- Time management and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders
