We're on the lookout for a detail-driven and people-focused Payroll Team Leader to join our vibrant Finance team at MECCA's Support Centre in Richmond.This is more than just a payroll role — it's an opportunity to lead, innovate, and make your mark in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
You'll be a trusted advisor and leader, delivering seamless payroll services while supporting the ongoing growth and evolution of our business.In this role, you will:Oversee and execute end-to-end payroll operations across Australia and New Zealand with accuracy and complianceLead, mentor and support our Payroll Officers, helping them grow and succeedManage payroll month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and audit requirementsDrive process improvements and help shape future payroll systems and efficienciesProvide expert guidance on relevant legislation, awards, and company policiesCollaborate closely with internal stakeholders across People, Finance and Retail Operations to ensure seamless service deliveryWhat You Will Bring:Proven experience (3+ years) in end-to-end payroll within a complex, high-volume environmentDeep understanding of payroll legislation and awards, especially the General Retail AwardProficiency in enterprise payroll systems such as Workday, Ento or HR3Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with complex spreadsheetsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsA proactive mindset with a passion for accuracy, continuous improvement and teamworkYour Life at MECCAWhilst we are singularly focused on our #CustomerFirstmantra, we know that wouldn't be possible without an incredible team that is guided by our MECCA values.
