About the role
The General Manager, Metro North Mental Health holds an executive leadership role and is accountable for operational matters for the 3 Authorised Mental Health Services (TPCH, RBWH and Redcliffe Caboolture) and Alcohol and Drug Service in Metro North Mental Health (MNMH).It provides leadership and management in the delivery of efficient, safe and quality care to provide excellence in consumer, carer and staff experiences and outcomes. Collaborates with key stakeholders in planning and strategy and delivery of services, including service redesign, innovation and adoption of new technology.
The General Manager will play a critical role in Infrastructure across MNMH to ensure contemporary infrastructure that supports growth in services and excellence and safety in clinical services.
The General Manager provides support for corporate governance systems, integrated planning, strategy management, performance framework and systems for MNMH.
About you
- Operationally reporting to the Executive Director MNMH, it is expected that this partnership will support the Executive Director's achievement of performance outcomes.
- Ensuring that services are planned and delivered in a manner which supports coordination of care across the continuum, and which recognises the interdependency of service provision with other programs, services and stakeholders
- The governance, leadership and culture of the services requires the General Manager, MNMH to establish and monitor systems which provide feedback about standards of performance to ensure that they are fully informed in relation to key areas of risk and opportunity to achieve best practice performance. This requires the role to diagnose and address complex problems which have the ability to impact on clinical outcomes, budget integrity, activity targets and achievement of related goals
- Being an active executive member of MNMH, responding to MNMH wide issues in a way which constructively recognises the critical importance of a coherent organisational focus and shared vision
