Technical Writer

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

- Craft high-quality documentation that enables our business team to understand standard processes and procedures effectively.
- Enhance the overall quality of documentation by providing and responding to constructive feedback.
- Identify gaps that benefit the business, process leads, and end-users.
- Identify opportunities to streamline activities and provide recommendations for process improvements, such as reducing touchpoints and keystrokes.
- Communicate complex issues and intricate processes in a concise and user-friendly manner for easy comprehension and execution.
- Utilize tools like ARIS process tool for document uploading and authoring (highly desirable).
- Offer guidance and leadership to enhance the quality of documentation.
- Demonstrate support for documentation standards, process standardization, shared services initiatives, and organizational development activities, including training and reporting on business case benefits.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

- Proven experience as a technical writer, adept at detailing procedures through well-written text and visually appealing images/graphics.
- Familiarity with working in a business or large organization.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within teams.
- Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into simple, reproducible steps or tasks.
- High level of computer literacy and proficiency in tools such as ARIS (preferable) or Visio for documentation purposes.
- Knowledge of and experience with project management methodologies and tools, including hybrid, Waterfall, and Agile approaches.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to establish strong partnerships with senior management and other stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and influencing skills.
