Two fantastic, permanent opportunities are available for an experienced Investigator to join the Building team.
The Investigations Officer is responsible for assessing and investigating referrals from a range of internal and external sources.
In this role, the Investigations Officer is required to identify breaches of building legislation, regulations and professional standards.
This will involve conducting interviews, preparing reports and detailed briefs of evidence, participating in court proceedings, providing advice and information to the building industry.
**Who we are looking for**:
- Must have 5 plus years of demonstrated experience in a compliance or regulatory environment undertaking investigations, gathering information and evidence, preparing reports and/or briefs of evidence with the ability to undertake analysis and reporting of data.
- Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or higher with demonstrated practical experience in conducting investigations is a must.
- Proven written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills, all demonstrated via the undertaking of investigations, analysing information, pursuing lines of inquiry, assessing evidence and preparing reports.
- Demonstrated ability to be positive, decisive and flexible while maintaining impartiality, objectivity and professionalism and act ethically and with integrity and fairness.
