**A bit about the role**

As the Coordinator Engineering Construction, you will lead a team of 14 to ensure that contracts and construction works are effectively managed and administered to guarantee the safe, timely and high-quality delivery of infrastructure within the Wyndham Municipality.

You will bring your sound knowledge of engineering design and construction principles, contract management, project management and stakeholder engagement to provide specialist technical and engineering support to other relevant Council departments.

This role will take you out and about around Wyndham as you conduct regular site meetings with contractors and review the progress of works and as needed, promptly resolve contract and engineering design queries and issues during construction.

**What you'll deliver**
- A detailed review of capital works engineering designs and tender documentation with recommendations to Project Managers
- Training, advice and support to staff on contract preparation and management
- A detailed Works Programs for capital works projects
- Ongoing review of Council's and external authorities (VPA -EDCM) construction standards and recommended changes
- Develop and maintain procedures and inspection schedules to ensure that all works comply with O.H.& S Act. regulations and codes
- Recommendations on new technologies, work methodologies and materials to implement into Council infrastructure to improve quality and/or sustainability

**What you'll bring**
- A Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field
- Eligibility for Professional Engineers Registration in compliance with the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019
- A current Victorian drivers' license
- A current WorkSafe construction induction accreditation (white card)
- Extensive experience in contracts administration and management
- Highly developed organisational and project management skills
- Well-developed and demonstrated experience in conflict resolution, problem solving and negotiation skills
- A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
