Your Opportunity

This position reports to the Communication and Media Manager.

This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity, to 22 December 2028 unless otherwise determined.

The position location is negotiable at any TAFE Queensland Campus, however some travel will be required across other TAFE Queensland campuses.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the creation and implementation of communication strategies for TAFE Queensland to promote the Centres of Excellence Initiative to position TAFEs as the foundation for innovation across the VET sector through nationally consistent, world-class teaching and learning.
Manage collaborate with various groups including but not limited to: communication officers, campaign officers, designers, and digital marketers to develop innovative materials for promoting the Centres of Excellence Initiative.
Collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior management and key figures within a geographically diverse team, to identify communication needs and outline objectives, requirements, and milestones.
Support project stakeholders to ensure that change management and communication materials and activities are planned and delivered consistently, relevantly, and timely.
Coordinate and maintain communication outputs across key internal channels to ensure timely and effective communication of projects, initiatives, or announcements.Complete multiple requests, project work, enquiries and maintenance tasks in a timely manner while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
Review and enhance project information, intelligent content creation within the Centre of Excellence and across identified communication channels, as required.

How you will be assessed

The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
1. Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and executing comprehensive communication plans.

2. Ability to identify communication needs and deliver high-quality, engaging content for multiple platforms, adhering to brand and regulatory guidelines for diverse stakeholder groups.

3. Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

4. Drive continuous improvement in communication practices and outputs, contributing to an innovative and high-performing team culture.

5. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.

6. Ability to multi-task and manage competing workloads and deadlines in a fast-paced work, rapidly change and dynamic project environment.

Highly Desirable Requirements

Degree-level qualification in strategic communications, public relations, internal communication, or journalism is not mandatory, but will be highly regarded.
