**About the role**

The role of a casual Allied Health Assistant in the Foundation Skills Group involves working as part of a vibrant and energetic team in the delivery of group-based early intervention therapy. The role is dynamic and fast-paced and requires an enthusiastic and passionate team who wish to work collaboratively to make a difference to the lives of our children and their families. The Allied Health Assistant role includes, but is not limited to:

- Working within a small multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic early childhood therapy in a group model
- Facilitating the Foundation Skill Group program under direction from the Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Developmental Educators and Early Childhood Educators
- Assisting with the development of visual supports and other resources to support therapeutic outcomes
- Under guidance from other members of the multidisciplinary team, delivering therapeutic supports for children across all areas of child development
- Working collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or currently working towards a degree in an allied health field (e.g., Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Disability, Developmental Education, Social Work or other related field)
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Passion for working with children on the autism spectrum
- Demonstrated experience working within a team.
- Demonstrated experience or understanding of the principles of Positive Behaviour Support (desirable)
- Understanding of a holistic approach to child learning and development.
