Established in 1988 Motor Trades Association of Australia (MTAA) represents many of the 72,521 retail motor trades businesses which employ over 384,810 Australians and contributed $39.35 billion (2.1% Aus. GDP) to the Australian economy in 2021.

**Your new role**

This national CEO position can be based anywhere in Australia.

Reporting to the Board and working collaboratively with the MTAA Advisory Committee, formed by representatives of the participating member organisations, the Chief Executive Officer will lead the MTAA during a time of significant structural and technological change in the automotive industry.

In addition to the CEO role, provide secretary and secretariat functions to the MTAA Board and related MTAA companies, provide leadership to MTAA and it national committees, work with the Board in delivering the strategic objectives of the association, as well as Lead and facilitate the MTAA member's joint policy group with a view to coordinating the contribution of members in developing and submitting national papers on industry matters.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- An inclusive ability to build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of organisations, government and the public service
- Experience in public speaking and dealing with media enquiries
- An understanding of corporate governance principles
