Role details
The Specialist Outpatients Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
The Clinical Nurse (CN) provides nursing services within the health service settings; and is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research. The activities are predominantly clinical in nature, but also provide support to a Nurse Grade 7 or above in management activities. The CN provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff.
About the Team
The Specialist Outpatient Department provides the setting for specialist medical care for a wide range of clinical specialities. The SOPD team provides the nursing and administrative support for the clinics.
A range of other healthcare providers including other clinical nurse and allied health utilise the Specialist Outpatient Department to provide patient care.
