Clinical Nurse - Specialist Outpatients Department role at Mackay Hospital and Health Service. The Specialist Outpatients Department at Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis. This position provides nursing services within the health service settings with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research. The activities are predominantly clinical and include leadership and support to a Nurse Grade 7 or above in management activities.
Responsibilities- Provide advanced level clinical nursing care to patients/clients and coordinate clinical management of patient care.
- Deliver care that is patient-focused and evidence-based.
- Support and provide leadership to other nursing staff.
- Contribute to portfolio areas such as clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research.
The Specialist Outpatient Department provides the setting for specialist medical care across a wide range of clinical specialties. The SOPD team provides nursing and administrative support for the clinics, with collaboration from other healthcare providers and allied health professionals to facilitate patient care.
