Aquis Farm is QLD's leading premier breeding operation with state-of-the-art facilities, 140 broodmares and a dedicated and professional team that are invested in best practice welfare outcomes for our horses. Due to some exciting recent developments and the need to expand our operations as we continue to grow, a rare opportunity has become available for an Assistant Stud Manager to join our team in the Gold Coast hinterland.

This is a senior role on the farm where you will be responsible for supporting the Stud Manager in overseeing the overall breeding operations, including foaling, yearling prep, broodmare management and will assist with the day-to-day management of the stud team.

Applicants must have prior experience in broodmare management with a strong technical and general medical understanding of caring for broodmares and the foaling down process and must be capable monitoring, evaluating and responding to changes in mare behaviour. You also must have demonstrated experience and confidence in leading an engaged team and fostering best practice outcomes in all areas of your work.
