**Position title**: Manager - Quality, Safety & Risk

**Department**: Quality, Safety & Risk

**Reports to**: Director - Nursing & Operations

**Direct reports**: Quality, Safety & Risk Coordinator

**Hours per week**: Full-time, 38 hours

**Duration**:Permanent

**Position purpose**: As Quality, Safety & Risk Manager for MSI Australia, your key function is to coordinate our quality, safety, risk and compliance functions across the organisation. You will provide the Managing Director, the Executive, and the leadership teams and staff within MSI Australia with support and advice regarding quality, safety, legislative compliance and accreditation requirements. You will have a strong focus on incident management to inform risk throughout the organisation with skills in data analysis and report writing. You will be responsible for the organisation's client feedback management. To support better client outcomes, you will assist in the design, implementation and monitoring of safety initiatives to drive a Safety-First culture.

**Key Accountabilities**
Quality Assurance and Compliance Oversight:

- Ensure integration of quality, safety, risk, and compliance principles into day-to-day operations and service delivery.
- Manage the organisation's incident management system (Riskman) and escalate relevant matters in accordance with policies and procedures.

Strategic Advisory Role:

- Provide expert advice and strategic direction to the Executive Team on risk management, quality improvement systems, and corporate governance, including clinical governance.

Client Feedback Management:

- Administer and oversee the organisation's client feedback processes, systems, and responses.

Stakeholder Relations and External Reporting:

- Oversee external reporting and regulatory requirements, proactively building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and health sector stakeholders.

Quality Improvement and Process Enhancement:

- Coordinate, design, and deliver improvement resources and communications to the organisation.
- Collaborate across all levels to identify, recommend, and monitor outcomes of improvements to current processes, quality of care and service delivery.

**Key Selection Criteria**:

- Fiercely Pro-choice and champion of women's and pregnant people's rights
- Passionate about de-stigmatising abortion, sexual and reproductive health
- Registered Nurse or Midwife and AHPRA registered
- Health-related tertiary qualification (desirable)
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated experience with all aspects of ACHS accreditation
- Experience facilitating RCA investigations, aggregated incident analysis and case reviews
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Australian healthcare industry, relevant legislation, industry codes of practice, relevant standards and organisational policy & procedure processes
