**About the Role**

The Accounts Payable Officer will work as part of a team and be responsible for performing all components of the end-to-end accounts payable process. You will demonstrate strong work experience in an Accounts Payable role within high volume, multi-site locations. Therefore, the role is diversified in its range of tasks and responsibilities.

The position requires someone who is highly organised, with the ability to assess the urgency or otherwise of work allocated and/or situations and prioritise their workload accordingly. You are competent using ERP software (e.g. SAP or similar), Microsoft Office suite of products (especially Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams) and online banking platforms (e.g. Commbiz).

Key responsibilities of role:

- Oversee and manage the invoice approval workflow system
- Set up and management of creditor accounts
- Process weekly creditor payments (including generation of proposed payment files and upon approval the upload of ABA files to the online banking system)
- Coordination of remittance advice notices being sent to creditors
- Reconciliation of accounts payable related balance sheet accounts and creditor statements
- Manage internal business stakeholders (i.e. prompting their action or fielding any questions they may have)

**Skills & Experience**
- Strong background in end-to-end accounts payable in a high volume environment (essential)
- High level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication
- Able to work on multiple accounts
- Willing attitude and being an active learner of new systems and processes
- Able to work well in a team and autonomously
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of basic debit and credit accounting
- Able to adapt quickly and demonstrate flexibility
