Accounts Payable Officer

About the Role
MLEI is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our shared services finance team. Supporting multiple companies across a diverse range of industries, this role is responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable function, as well as assisting with accounts receivable and payroll processing.
Working in a supportive and collaborative team environment, you will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness in our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
· Accurately process supplier invoices in Xero in a timely manner
· Reconcile supplier statements across multiple companies
· Prepare and collate weekly accounts payable payment runs
· Respond to supplier and internal queries with professionalism and efficiency
Accounts Receivable
- Assist with invoicing and follow-up on outstanding debts
Payroll Support
· Support payroll data entry, processing, and reconciliations across multiple companies
· Maintain payroll records in line with company and legislative requirements
· Assist with payroll reporting and employee payroll queries
General
· Maintain accurate financial records in line with compliance and company policy
· Assist the finance team with smooth month-end and year-end processes
Skills & Experience
· Previous experience in an accounts payable role, with strong Xero knowledge
- Experience in payroll processing or administration (desirable)
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
