Closer to home, and centrally located in Southbank in the Melbourne CBD, we are now taking expressions of interest for a Full Time **Handyperson **to join our growing team at **Mercure Melbourne Southbank.**

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Handyperson to assist with the smooth and efficient running of the Hotel's maintenance.

With a variety of tasks as a part of your role, your day could involve conducting property walks and equipment checks, preventative maintenance, attending to guest requests in their rooms, being a fire warden, assisting the Housekeeping team with room reconfiguration, assisting trades on site and the list goes on.

**What will you be doing?**
- Undertaking general repairs and maintenance as well as preventative maintenance programs throughout the Hotel. This includes basic plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning service and repairs.
- Servicing of plant and general equipment as directed.
- Ensuring all painted areas are maintained and in good order.
- Performing duties relevant to experience and trade as applicable and also perform other maintenance related tasks as required.
- Assisting other team members in the completion of their duties.

**Criteria**
- Previous experience working on the maintenance of hotels, fixed plant and equipment systems preferred.
- Knowledge of preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance strategies.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Used to working as part of a small team.
- Self motivated person who takes a proactive approach to work and is punctual and reliable.
- Ability to accommodate flexibility with shifts.

**Salary**: $23.00 - $23.52 per hour
