Main Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs for deploying and serving machine learning models in production environments.
Collaborate closely with data scientists and ML engineers to operationalize models and ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
Write clean, efficient code for backend systems and autonomous entities, focusing on building metrics and dashboards, and conducting deep technical investigations.
Monitor and debug issues across systems – platform components, API, model-serving infrastructure.
Continuously improve system reliability, observability, and maintainability through thoughtful engineering and automation.
Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing ideas to simplify, scale, and enhance our systems.
Proactively explore how things work behind the scenes, identifying and addressing inefficiencies or technical debt.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Strong experience with deploying machine learning models into production environments.
Experience with measurement-driven approaches to shipping AI capabilities.
Proficiency in software engineering focused on maintainable systems and solid design principles.
Experience operating high-impact systems at scale reliably.
Understanding of data workflows, including building and maintaining data pipelines and transformations.
A curious mindset – you enjoy digging into unfamiliar systems and figuring out how they work.
Growth-oriented and self-motivated – you like learning new tools, technologies, and patterns.
