The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia's leading not-for-profit organisation funding world-class breast cancer research. We are seeking an ambitious and capable Brand and Communications Manager to join our team and take us one step closer to our vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
Since our inception in 1994, NBCF has invested over $200M into more than 600 world-class research projects across Australia.
In this time, death rates from breast cancer in Australia have improved by 43%.

**About the Role**
The Brand and Communications Manager is responsible for developing and managing NBCF's brand and communications initiatives to drive engagement, brand awareness and reputation of the NBCF brand.
**Key Responsibilities***
**STRATEGY**
- Contribute to the development of the Brand and Marketing Strategies with the Head of Marketing and Director of Digital Technology.
- Work with the Head of Marketing and other NBCF stakeholders to develop yearly and quarterly marketing plans.
- Manage day to day relationships with external agencies.
**PR AND MEDIA**
- Work with NBCF's external agency partners to devise and develop integrated PR & digital campaigns in line with yearly and quarterly marketing plans
- Execute, monitor and optimise campaigns ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Report to NBCF Executives and Board on the effectiveness of PR & digital campaigns against defined campaign KPIs.
- Manage all incoming enquiries for media and respond effectively and in a timely manner.
- Develop crisis communication approach to protect the NBCF brand.
- Identify opportunities to utilise ambassadors and influencers for PR and media.
- Manage marketing budgets.
**BRAND**
- Ensure compliance with NBCF's brand identity across the organisation
- At the conclusion of the Brand Strategy work, support the adoption of strategy outputs across the organisation as required.
- Collaborate and co-ordinate across NBCF to ensure that messaging aligns across communications and work with teams to drive all-team planning sessions and manage the campaign calendar.
- Ensure brand compliance across all stakeholder groups through an approvals process.
- Manage and develop NBCF's merchandise e-commerce store.
**CONTENT MARKETING**
- Proactively manage NBCF's Content Hub to ensure that assets are easy to find, up to date and approved for use.
- Manage and deliver a pipeline of content development including copy writing, video / photo shoots and image banks.
- Maintain compelling brand messages about NBCF and its impact, ensuring consistent use by all stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing and SEO team to develop content to improve search optimisation and online visibility.
- Assist in identifying ambassadors and influencers to share NBCF's key messages to educate and inform the community.
- Develop NBCF's Annual Report working with internal stakeholders.
**MANAGEMENT**
- Review and approve the monthly social media content calendar and community management responses to ensure they are on brand and reflect NBCF's approved messaging.
**QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**
- Outstanding written and oral communication capabilities
- A willingness to balance strategic planning with practical implementation
- Ability to report on value/outcome of Brand and Communications activity
- 5+ years PR / communications / brand / marketing related experience and qualifications
- A strong understanding of PR & media
- Management experience.
