Principal Engineer (Civil)
This senior role requires strong project management capabilities, technical expertise, and the ability to mentor staff while coordinating with a wide range of stakeholders.
Lead and manage the delivery of infrastructure maintenance and rehabilitation projects.
Act as the Principal's Representative on construction contracts and oversee procurement, tendering, and contract administration.
Provide high-level technical and engineering advice to ensure project success, value for money, and adherence to standards.
Monitor progress reporting, financial forecasting, and quality assurance.
The Ideal Candidate
You are a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) with significant experience managing road infrastructure projects, from design through to delivery.
Demonstrated experience managing the full lifecycle of road infrastructure projects, particularly in urban and high-speed road environments.
Strong understanding of contract administration, procurement processes, and tender evaluation.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
Mandatory Requirements
A four-year Washington Accord accredited Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia).
RPEQ registration (or eligible and committed to obtaining it).
Current Class C driver's licence.
White Card (Construction Industry Induction).
Provision of suitable PPE.
Ability to pass a Criminal History Check.
