The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Parks and Open Space team for a 12 month fixed term position as the Customer Liaison – Parks & Open Space.
The role will work alongside the Administration Support Officer in administering customer requests as well as assisting the wider team whilst reporting to the Parks and Open Space Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities Provide professional customer service to a wide range of customers including residents, contractors and internal customers.
Triage routine maintenance requests and fault reports, assign work orders and purchase requisitions to either the in-house services team or specialist trade contractors.
Escalate non-routine and/or complex maintenance requests and fault reports to Parks & Open Space Officers to further investigate.
Liaise with Council contractors, including receiving completion notices or requests for further information.
Maintain accurate and up to date data in various systems and escalate follow up actions as required.
Assist with procurement processes, including processing purchase orders and invoices.
Assist with the administration of service contracts relating to reactive and proactive maintenance activities.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in the handling of a wide range of information.

About you To be successful in this role you will have the following: Post-secondary qualification in Administration or relevant office administration experience.
Excellent knowledge of Windows based applications and databases to produce a wide range of documents.
Well-developed customer service skills for face to face, telephone and email interactions.
Understanding of relevant technology, procedures, processes and skills used within the context of administration support.
Proficient application of standardised practices and procedures, compliance with requirements of Acts and Regulations and an understanding of the impact of precedents and previous decisions.
Experience working in a multi-disciplined team to achieve set objectives, specifically in the field of maintenance.
Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
