- Established in 1994 by founders Mal and Dianne McKissock, the National Centre for Childhood Grief (NCCG) provides the best possible care for bereaved children and their families. The NCCG provides various services, including free and unlimited grief counselling for bereaved children aged 3 -18 years, education and training for individuals, schools and other organisations handling the grief of children and young people, as well as grief counselling to recently bereaved adults on a fee-for-service basis. The NCCG is a safe and nurturing place, where grieving families can receive the support and understanding they need as they learn to cope with their grief, and gradually rebuild their lives.
- The NCCG is at an exciting time in its evolution and is well positioned to grow and expand its impact and reach.
- Reporting to the Clinical Director, and working closely with the Board, you will build and deliver the organisation's aspirational fundraising strategy across multiple channels including corporate partnerships, philanthropic and government grants, and major gifts.
- This is a hands-on role, that will connect the hearts and minds of donors through meaningful engagement and personal interactions. You will develop strong, diverse and sustainable fundraising pipelines, relationships and partnerships, and secure financial support from new and existing supporters. Funding will be directed to programs and services that make a positive impact on children and families dealing with the trauma of grief.
- About YOU
- Sound knowledge of the philanthropic landscape with proven ability to build strong relationships with donors, philanthropic foundations, corporate and community partners, families and volunteers
- A resilient and adaptable fundraising leader who can navigate the complexities of a small NFP and drive sustainable and innovative fundraising efforts
- Driven, self-starter, who enjoys working autonomously, is influential and has superior communication skills
- Compelling storyteller, with finesse, who is confident to make "the ask"
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to understand data and utilise insights to inform decision making
- Compassionate approach, with care and commitment to authentically represent the NCCG and children/families impacted by the death of a loved one
- A desire and ability to contribute to the NCCG's culture and work with a close-knit and passionate team
- CFRE certification or membership of the Fundraising Institute of Australia will be highly regarded.
