A prestigious financial services firm is seeking a Senior Associate Private Credit Fund Accountant to join their Operations team in Sydney. What you'll do
Oversee daily cash forecasting by monitoring investment activities, managing fund expenses, and ensuring liquidity requirements are met in line with fund documentation.
Manage the capital call and distribution processes by reviewing schedules and notices prepared by third-party administrators to guarantee accuracy and timeliness.
Supervise credit and leverage facility operations including drawdown, repayment, payment processing, and covenant reporting to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Review quarterly NAV reporting packages along with supporting schedules from third-party administrators to ensure precise fund valuations.
Approve investor statements by conducting thorough reviews of all relevant documentation before dissemination.
Coordinate annual financial statement preparation including supporting schedules to meet audit requirements and regulatory deadlines.
Calculate management fees and performance fees accurately using established methodologies while maintaining transparency for stakeholders.
Monitor fund performance metrics at both fund and asset levels to provide insightful analysis for internal teams and clients.
Produce comprehensive investor reporting packages such as investment manager's reports, portfolio details reports, and various ad-hoc reports tailored to client needs.
Support the investment team during deal funding processes by ensuring timely execution of funding activities in accordance with operational procedures.
What you bring
Accounting qualification is required for this position as it underpins your ability to manage complex fund accounting tasks effectively.
At least five years' experience in financial services ensures you bring proven expertise in handling similar responsibilities within reputable organisations.
Recent hands-on experience covering closed-end or open-end funds/private credit fund accounting/administration/audit demonstrates your readiness for this specialised role.
Prior exposure to fund management functions such as fund accounting or administration or audit equips you with practical insights into operational challenges faced by funds.
Experience in multi-currency reporting environments along with hedging strategy implementation showcases your adaptability across diverse portfolios.
Track record of supporting new fund launches highlights your capacity for managing change within fast-evolving business units.
Attention to detail while functioning within global processes enables you to maintain high standards of accuracy even under pressure.
Analytical mindset combined with keen problem-solving skills allows you to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions collaboratively.
Good grasp of operational risks controls ensures that you can contribute meaningfully towards risk mitigation efforts within the team.
Ability to multitask prioritise effectively meet deadlines reflects your dependability when managing competing demands from multiple stakeholders.
Effective communication skills both written verbal facilitate smooth interactions across teams clients service providers auditors alike.
Familiarity with Aladdin preferred but not essential; prior experience across other Fund Accounting software platforms is highly regarded.
Excellent Power BI Excel skills empower you to analyse data efficiently generate insightful reports for decision-making purposes.
