Ascot Park Primary School OSHC and Vacation Care View all jobsAbout the roleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Director to join our team at Ascot Park Primary School OSHC and Vacation Care in Ascot Park, SA.
This part-time role will see you play a key part in the management and operations of our dynamic before and After School Care, as well as Vacation Care programs.
We are looking for someone to start immediately and can offer a minimum of 20 hours per week during termand 30+ hours during Vacation Care, with the strong possibility of more.
Contracts are reviewed every 12 months with the hope of long term and on-going employment.What you'll be doingProviding assistance and support to the Director in the provision of quality services for children and familiesSupporting the Director to plan, document, deliver and evaluate children's recreation and leisure programs using the recognised learning frameworkLeading a team of educators and support in the operational management of the service as required.Providing supervision, guidance and support for staff, students and volunteersDeveloping, updating and evaluating the services policiesDeveloping and implementing positive behaviour management plans and strategies to support children and families with additional and complex needs.Ensure the premises and facilities are secure, hygienic and equipment is in good conditionWork collaboratively with the OSHC Director, Principal, Business Manager, Governing Council, the OSHC Advisory Committee and OSHC educatorsAssisting the Director with administration systems, and ensure that the service is compliant in all quality areas of the National Quality FrameworkSupporting the Director to establish, evaluate and improve systems to ensure the goals of the QIP are metSupporting the Director in planning in-service training and staff meetingsSupporting the Director in preparing submissions for supporting children with additional needsEnsuring that records are maintained including child enrolments, attendance, illness, accident reports and observationsWhat we're looking forA minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar Assistant Director or leadership role in the childcare or outside school hours care sectorRelevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education, Child Care or a related fieldStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleaguesExcellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and priorities effectivelyA genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of childrenA thorough understanding of relevant childcare regulations, policies and proceduresA current Working with Children Check, RRHAN Certificate, First Aid Certificate and Food Safety TrainingWhat we offerAt Ascot Park Primary School OSHC and Vacation Care, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive workplace.
