With a passion for developing leaders within our business, the Picking Leading Hand role is a great entry position into leadership for a passionate and motivated applicant. In this position you will work on and develop your skill among other trained professionals who want to see you succeed within the Horticulture industry.

The Picking Leading Hand is an entry level leadership role, responsible for assisting the Picking Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the Glasshouse, as well as management and implementation of the picking strategies in order to achieve budgeted production levels. This is a hands-on role where the majority of your time will be spent in the Glasshouse.

**Key accountabilities**:
The Leading Hand position will be a mix of both working as a Leader to the Picking team but also performing the Picking duties, such as:

- Working in the Glasshouse performing picking duties alongside the team to specific KPIs, such as:

- Picking
- Packing and/or sorting
- Trolley towing
- Ensure target times are achieved
- Driving of the picking trolley
- Manage the training schedule of all new picking recruits
- Prepare daily work orders in the absence of the Picking Supervisor
- Prepare daily estimates in the absence of the Picking Supervisor
- Undertake stock control in the absence of the Picking Supervisor
- Assist with the development of Picking Standard Operating Procedures
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities

- Horticulture or Agriculture experience (desirable)
