COUNSELLOR 1 – Rimmer and Cameron House (position 1)PERMANENT, FULL TIME – 72 hours bi-weeklyThis position is expected to begin on or about Sunday, September 21, 2025 .
Required Qualifications:Post-secondary education in social services from a recognized Ontario College.Experience working in the mental health or developmental services field with case management responsibility.A mature and conscientious individual who is creative, flexible and able to lead a team in developing and implementing personal plans in accordance with the individual's needs and desires as well as maximizing the integration of residents into the community.Proven ability to coordinate the administration of several simultaneous projects including residential services, community relations and special services for people with disabilities (developmental, behavioural, psychiatric, physical and/or medical) would be an asset.Tact, diplomacy and initiative suitable to deal with management, co-workers, families and professionals is essential to ensure continuity and effective teamwork.Pharmacology course from a recognized Ontario College or equivalent.CPR, First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) training.Valid G driver's license, driver's abstract and regular access to a vehicle and appropriate insurance.Hourly Rate: per CUPE Collective Agreement (Union position)Deadline for applications: Friday, August 29, 2025 at NOON.Tayside Community Options is an equal opportunity employer.
