Library Services Centre
The Library Services Centre is responsible for the overall management and control of the University's record keeping program including the governance and management of business information and the provision of advisory services to Schools and Business Centres on record keeping best practices.
The Opportunity
This is your chance to play your part in the launch of this unprecedented project, as we look towards our opening to students in 2026.
As Campus Transition Coordinator - Records Management, you will play a key role in the City Campus Project for Information Management & Archives Services by leading the inventory of inactive physical records at the Mount Lawley and Joondalup campuses and planning and coordinating the seamless relocation of identified business records to the Joondalup Archive facility & offsite storage. The role involves supervising and guiding four Record Appraisal Officers tasked with evaluating the records to ensure accurate appraisal and efficient processing.
**Key responsibilities of the role include**:
Plan and undertake an inventory of inactive physical business records both the Mount Lawley Campus as well as several Schools located at the Joondalup Campus.
Plan and coordinate the packing and the relocation of identified inactive business records to the Joondalup Archive facility.
Report regularly on project progress to the project team and key stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication.
Develop detailed relocation plans in collaboration with the ECU City project team, covering timelines, logistics, sequencing, and resources for each move.
Collaborate on development and implementation of communication plans to inform staff at Mount Lawley and Joondalup campuses about the management of inactive physical records, explaining the transition to "digital only" working practices, and addressing impacts and transition timelines.
Building and maintaining strong relationships and strategic partnerships across teams, directorates, and schools, including effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met.
Proven knowledge and experience in managing records in accordance with the State Records Act 2000 (WA).
Demonstrated strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines efficiently and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
The ability to show initiative, ownership, and proactive management of tasks to achieve successful outcomes, effectively balancing and prioritizing objectives.
A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service, understanding, and meeting the needs of both internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
A proven ability to organise and present information clearly and engagingly to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and understanding.
An ability to work cooperatively with others to accomplish joint tasks and common objectives and build positive relationships.
