Our client is a privately owned family business, established more than 100 years ago, who design, manufacture & supply the most comprehensive range of industrial & transportation hardware across all its divisions. They have 4 main business divisions, including Hardware, Furniture, Automotive and Corporate/Commercial/Govt. This key National role will focus in their Hardware division, including products for trucks & body building such as fasteners, locks, ventilation, steps and ladders, vehicle accessories, electrical, hinges, gas struts, toolboxes, water tanks, cargo control and side protection, driver seating, handles, rubber, mudguards and tailgate hardware, drawer slides, mirrors, hospitality materials, gate hardware, etc. for the B2B commercial & trade sector. Their products are sold into the vehicle aftermarket, including Buses/Coaches, Emergency Vehicles, Body Building, Mining and Caravans. Their existing customers consist of med-large companies, as well as trade/body building companies. The Hardware division sells approx. 4,500 products into the vehicle aftermarket, with a key focus on new product innovation and sales growth across ANZ.
**About the role**:
This is a newly created role for an experienced National Account Manager to join a secure, established and successful company and make their mark, with a focus on building a strategic plan for their Hardware division (Trucks & Bodybuilding). You will develop, present and execute the plan, requiring you to pivot and manage above and below to ensure there is accountability and good sales cadence.
**About you**:
You will be an innovator with the capacity to craft this newly created opportunity and career role. An autonomous operator with expertise in account management & strategy to support sales growth, orientating with key stakeholders in the business, a clear and confident approach and demonstrating a natural sales process. You will contact clients and key stakeholders across Australia and NZ, build rapport, and identify & remove pain points. Your scanning & analysis of the market will see you produce a clear road map of what is needed for the Hardware division to grow. Preparedness for interstate travel is essential for success in the role. Experience in an industrial consumables environment is ideal, along with a tenacious and determined approach to success.
- At least 3- 5 years' experience within B2B industrial consumables in Australia
- Account Management experience within a consumables hardware environment
- Demonstrated success in business development or new product implementations.
- Tertiary qualification in Business or similar discipline (desired but not required)
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office
- Experience to develop and execute a strategic plan based on an analysis of the market and data-driven decisions
- Motivated & driven to work autonomously from a remote location as required.
- Willingness to take a hands-on approach to products, stores and customers.
- Resilient and able to perform under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills appropriate for the audience
- Great communication skills to build rapport and trust with key stakeholders internally and externally.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills with a willingness and ability to drive continuous improvement.
