Are you a copywriter with a passion for business and data?
At Datamine, we strive to find solutions for our clients' business problems. Our content is approachable but firmly establishes Datamine as a thought-leader within data, analytics and AI. "Teach, don't preach" sums up great Datamine content, the aim is to support high-level business stakeholders understand how analytics can solve their problems and add value to their business.
We're looking for a copywriter to create engaging content across multiple channels (mainly EDMs, web articles and white papers) by catering to our target audience to inform and grow their interest in Datamine; as well as support some general marketing activities.
If you can create content that feels like you're speaking directly to our target audience while adding some creative flare, then this is the role for you.
We aim to give people power through the ethical use of technology, to make decisions that transform their work, lives, and communities for the better. We collaborate closely with our clients to leverage insights and provide organisations with proven, repeatable success in this area. We thrive on making a difference.
Responsibilities
Write copy for Datamine's collateral, including blogs, white papers, email marketing, case studies, testimonials, award entries, sales collateral, social posts, and our websites
Research, interview and gather information on data, analytics and AI to create articles of interest
Stay curious and learn about Datamine, our solutions and clients to understand how to create amazing content
Target our key audience by crafting content that speaks to their pain points, needs and context, while understanding our brand identity and business/marketing strategies
Write long form content for our B2B audience, with the ability to reach executive level stakeholders
Create and follow a process to create great content
Proofread and edit to produce accurate and high-quality work
Work with marketing technology
Prioritisation and balance of workload
Manage relationships with marketing related suppliers
Experience in SEO
Key competencies
Genuine passion and interest in what we do and what our audience cares about
Proactive in ideation, has a finger on the pulse of what is happening in our business and wider market trends
The ability to tell a story or create an angle which aligns with Datamine's brand and business/marketing strategies for our target audience
Production of high-quality work through editing, proofreading, version control, and draft management
Research, interviewing, information gathering
Excellent command of written English and the ability to explain technical concepts
Reviews the data to understand if we are speaking to our audience
Ideal background/knowledge
Experience writing engaging content targeting senior business people
The ability to generate ideas for content
Excellent time management, sets deadlines and meets them
Has a process and consistent approach to work and content creation
An interest in business journalism – maybe has worked in this field in the past
General knowledge of marketing concepts
Curiosity with a thirst for knowledge and learning
