Ongoing growth across our national footprint, we're seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and evolve our Perth-based Accounts Payable team through the next phase of business optimisation and efficiencies.

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Accounts Payable Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Accounts Payable function and lead change initiatives. This pivotal role involves ensuring accurate and timely supplier payments, managing stakeholder relationships, reporting key metrics, driving process improvements, supporting team development, and contributing to system integration projects.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, operations, IT, and finance to ensure operational efficiency, system optimisation, and compliance across a dynamic, multi-entity environment.
Role responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the Accounts Payable team
- Maintain high service levels and foster a customer service culture within Accounts Payable, serving as the key escalation point across CGA
- Oversee Converga, our paperless Accounts Payable system
- Manage business expense systems such as SAP Concur and the auditing tool Appzen
- Maintain accurate supplier data, including setup, variations, terminations, rebates, payment terms, and cost center management
- Manage Supply Chain Finance platforms with banks and suppliers
- Prepare management reports and track Accounts Payable metrics
- Uphold key performance metrics and drive continuous improvement
- Lead system integration and process enhancement projects
- Support the transition from offshore to onshore operational models
- Enhance financial controls, policies, and procedures
People & Culture:
- Develop strong relationships with team members to promote a culture of excellence
- Build productive relationships with stakeholders through analysis and constructive challenge
- Support stakeholder needs and align with Compass values and culture
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:
- 5+ years experience leading an Accounts Payable team
- Excellent communication, analytical, and influencing skills
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and deadline management
- Proactive, autonomous, and accountable approach
- Strong teamwork and continuous improvement focus
- Experience with system enhancements, integrations, and process redesign
- Project and change management skills; problem-solving ability
- Preferred experience with Converga, Oracle, and SAP Concur
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel
