**The Opportunity**

Our Merchandising team's purpose is to empower customers to confidently shop the largest range of pet supplies in Australia. We do this with a pet first approach, leveraging the expertise of our vet staff and grounding ourselves in a customer-led culture. As a Category Manager within the Merchandising team, you will be part of the Hardgoods Category and will be responsible for building deeper mutually beneficial relationships with our suppliers.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Manage accounts in the category, leveraging key enablement processes to coach suppliers on how to grow within the Pet Circle platform.
- Continuously improve onsite conversion by positioning Pet Circle as a true specialist Pet retailer; you'll do this by meticulously preparing our curated range products to go-live in our backend system and manage product pages including master product data, content and imagery.
- Truly understand our customer maintain all product content to ensure it is current, accurate and aligned with our digital merchandising and content strategy.
- Collaborate with our Product and Brand teams to improve the onsite presentation of products and ultimately, sell-through.
- Operate key enablement processes as the focal point between category management and marketing to deliver on our promotional goals.
- Recommend and execution promotional strategy, working closely with Senior Category Managers, Category Directors, and Private Label team to achieve visibility and growth goals.
- Provide meaningful customer and product insights through analytics support to Senior Category Managers and Category Directors by leveraging our data and insights tools.
- Measure and draw insights on category outcomes and opportunities, sharing your expert knowledge with the rest of the category and merchandising teams.
- Be a site champion by escalating any technical bugs or anomalies to our Technology team to ensure prompt resolution.

**Your Ideal Experience**
- Experience working with external suppliers in a retail trading environment, eCommerce preferred.
- Creative style with the ability to operate in a dynamic, customer-driven business.
- Data literate with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Proven success running and innovating processes at scale.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and communicate proactively.
- Intellectually curious with imagination, backed up by strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

**Role Location**

At Pet Circle we believe that collaboration and team connection is key for success. This role will be based in Sydney with a blended working arrangement of 2+ days in our pet friendly city offices and the remainder working remotely.
