About The Role
As the Head of Department (Curriculum) at Kelvin Grove State College, you will support the implementation of the Junior School strategic plan and lead curriculum design and delivery.
As part of a dedicated and close-knit college community, you will play a key role in driving student success.
In this role, you will lead curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiatives, contribute to the vision of the State Schools Division, enhance the quality of teaching and learning, and nurture positive relationships with students, staff, and stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Department (Curriculum), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Work collaboratively with and support the Junior School Leadership team to shape and implement strategic planning and foster a positive collegial culture within the Junior School;
Lead the development, implementation and review of specified curriculum programs, Junior School initiatives and activities;
Lead the development, implementation and review of teaching and learning strategies in specified programs;
Contribute to the development of workforce capability, through the leadership of specified professional development and the targeted coaching and mentoring of staff;
Undertake specified administrative tasks; and
Participate in, provide advice and represent the Junior School in the P-12 College, Culture of Learning strategic pillar.
