**The Role**

The CHL Development - Project Origination team analyses opportunities to develop social and affordable housing, develops diverse and complex proposals, and works with a range of stakeholders to negotiate optimal commercial outcomes.

The role of Project Officer is to support the Project Origination team in delivering its objectives against CHL strategy, primarily by performing project coordination, negotiation support, and general administration. As well as playing a key role in the implementation of our sparkling new project management system.

The location of this position is negotiable, with preference for Brisbane, Gold Coast or Melbourne offices. Flexible working conditions are available.

**Key responsibilities**:
Initially you will play an important role in implementing our new project management system, but ultimately this role will provide support to the team to ensure the following key activities are completed in a timely and effective manner and derive high quality outcomes primarily by:

- providing general project coordination support
- assisting with the development and submission of proposals
- tracking and monitoring contract negotiations, and preparing reports and approval papers.

**About you**

You will have extensive experience in a similar role within the Property Development, Housing sector or Project Management, with extensive experience in coordinating the delivery of multiple projects and contracts. You will also have:
**Essential Criteria**:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to use initiative but also ask questions as needed to achieve objectives
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders in diverse and parallel workstreams
- Ability to synthesise information to convey key points to support decision making
- Experience in delivering project support on varied projects within tight timeframes
- Experience or knowledge of community housing sector
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Commitment to the right of every person to good quality housing
