Larvotto Resources is forging ahead with current ramp up activities on our Hillgrove Antimony and Gold project and we now are seeking the experience of a
Superintendent, UG Mine Operations
to join the onsite mining team on a residential 5 days on, 3 days off, 4 days on 2 days off roster - working 10-hour shifts per day.
About the Role
Reporting into the Manager, UG Mining the
Superintendent UG Mine Operations
will provide effective leadership across the Mining Production and Maintenance teams ensuring targets are continuously met whilst promoting a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities: -
Support the Safety Management System ensuring a safety-first work culture.
Ensure safe and efficient underground mining operations that meet 13-week schedule, budget, and Life-of-Mine targets.
Ensure adequate pro-active monitoring to maintain a safe work environment.
Ensure adequate tools, equipment and resources are available to ensure tasks can be carried out safely and efficiently.
Lead and mentor Production Supervisors across shift operations.
Ensure effective resource allocation, equipment availability, and operational continuity.
Work cross-functionally with maintenance, technical, and client teams.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and safety leadership.
Conduct inspections, audits and field leadership interactions in accordance with our site targets.
Build and sustain strong relationships and clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including all site personnel, corporate teams, regulators, suppliers and industry partners.
Ensure compliance with the applicable WHS and other acts and regulations.
Drive the planning and operational execution to achieve the underground quarterly and FY targets.
Provide up to date reporting and documentation in relation to operational performance.
Oversight of contractor performance and activities.
About You
15+ years of mining experience.
5+ years of Long-hole production experience.
10+ years of underground experience.
Hands-on experience in the underground crush firing process. (desirable but not essential)
Avoca stoping experience. (desirable but not essential)
S1, S2, S3 Supervisor Competencies (Mining Supervisors Course).
Current manual C Class Driver's License.
4WD experience, an accredited qualification in off-road driving, highly desired.
Senior First Aid Certificate/CPR Qualification, highly desired.
A valid National Police Clearance - less than 6 months old.
