">About the Role
">This is a hands-on leadership opportunity at Cowal, guiding a crew of up to 40 surface mining operators through haulage and stockpile operations. You will report to the Superintendent – Mine Operations and be responsible for safety, coordination, and crew performance. Key highlights:
">- Lead and coordinate haulage, dump, and stockpile activities across a space-constrained site
- Influence safety outcomes and resource efficiency in a high-impact role
- Progression pathway to Production Coordinator and Superintendent roles
About You
">You are an experienced mining professional with a strong background in open cut operations, quarrying, or civil construction. You have led crews before, formally or in acting roles, and know how to get the best out of a team with mixed experience levels. You're motivated by operational efficiency, safety, and making a real impact. You bring:
">- 7+ years of heavy equipment experience and proven supervisory capability
- A current manual license plus other relevant licenses and tickets (Cert IV TAE is a bonus)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, INX, and incident/hazard management systems
- A practical mindset, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach
You understand the rhythm of mining operations and are ready to step into a role where leadership and logistics meet.
