About the role
The focus of a principal moves beyond the delivery of individual projects to non-billable activities supporting winning new business, building team technical capability, fostering collaboration across the organisation, and providing targeted support to client engagements - and sometimes at short notice. Drive strategic objectives for our Google practice which aim to:
Acquire diversified revenue streams across customers, industries and engagement models
Develop long standing relationships with diverse customer set in Australia and New Zealand
Be an industry leader in lean agile operational business processes that grow in line with business needs
Build the strongest culture and EVP in A/NZ consulting and professional services
Engage in the market with the most innovative and unique capabilities/offerings
Be the most prominent Australian brand
Develop depth in our teams ability to lead and execute
By executing these activities:
Providing technical capability to support pre-sales activities
Driving technology strategy within our Google team
Building our reputation within a broader community (Meetups, Conference presentations, Blogs, Etc.
Building personal/technical relationships with key technology influencers. This includes within our clients and also more broadly within the industry. This acts as a complement to relationships built by the Sales team
Promoting collaboration within the Google team.
Facilitating ad hoc forums between interested parties to discuss particular technologies or problems (e.g. bring multiple clients together to discuss Istio challenges and solutions)
What you'll need to be successful:
Good written & verbal communication skills, including strong stakeholder management, presentation and communication skills
Specialist knowledge of several industries or segments, coupled with strong analytical skills
Ability to identify trends within their practice relating to products and services and communicate them effectively to the wider practice.
Bring a positive can-do attitude to the team
Ability to interview for other team members
Ability to lead and mentor others
Demonstrated ability to adhere to reporting deadlines.
