Level 2 L2 IT Support Helpdesk Technician | Newcastle
Opportunity for an enthusiastic Level 2 IT support engineer to join the IT support team of a national client
About the Role
IT support vacancy in a nation-wide company. Immediate start. 12 month contract. Looking for candidates with previous IT Support/Help Desk experience. Strong technical background in Windows OS, desktop/laptop, hardware/software and end user support.
Responsibilities
Provide onsite and remote Desktop IT Support in a customer facing role in a corporate environment.
Coordinate and follow-up with end users.
Build devices, perform IT troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and relevant questions.
Tracking, routing and redirecting problems to correct resources.
Updating documentation as required such as quick reference guides, support documentation; contribute to common fixes and existing knowledge base.
Required Experience
Must have excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Ability to deal with corporate staff in a friendly and professional manner over the phone and face to face.
A minimum of 12 months experience in an IT Support / Help Desk role.
Strong IT troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must have accurate record keeping skills.
Co-ordination skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Understanding of Active Directory, add/change user permissions.
Printer setup such as adding & configuring print queues, updating static IP address and test printing.
PC staging, SOE builds, SCCM deployment experience will be looked upon favourably.
