As the **Venue Risk & Protection Strategy Lead** you'll support the Risk and Protection team with the development and implementation of a suite of key strategic initiatives to address known and emerging opportunities, specific to Venue Operations across the Risk & Protection function.

Here's a snapshot of the **Venue Risk & Protection Strategy Lead** responsibilities:

- As the functional Risk & Protection lead, you'll enable the delivery of Venue 'At-Risk' program, including Venue identification and location mitigation plans.
- Collaborate & engage with key ALH Operational, Compliance and Legal leadership teams to capture initial and ongoing requirements, and provide regular/timely program updates.
- Partner with a multitude of stakeholders including OPs, Safety, Finance and Risk and Protection functional leaders, and Project Managing to ensure initiative delivery is well planned and aligned across Risk & Protection, and Operational streams.
- Map change management requirements associated with the delivery of key initiatives and objectives.
- Identify Venue specific opportunities and develop plans to support the delivery of key Risk & Protection objectives.
- Review BAU processes through a venue / hospitality risk mitigation lens, and seek to implement industry 'best practice' through the delivery of objectives.
- Actively contribute to and lead elements of the Venue Safety & Risk Governance Forums.
- Develop and communicate Control Remediation Plans (CRP's) to venues, Operations Area Groups, and State Leadership teams.
- Provide regular program updates to key stakeholders, including any issues, risks, or barriers to delivery, providing reporting and papers to the board where required.
- Develop and maintain project plans and associated change management requirements (if required). Project management support for key initiatives.

**Qualifications**

- Experience with Operational Risk and implementing effective mitigation plans within a retail/hospitality environment or adjacent industry.
- Ability to think critically, now and into the future.
- A composed and resilient nature when working under pressure.
- Demonstrated capability to manage and deliver projects, in full and on time
- Thorough understanding of inventory management systems.
- Intermediate - advanced skills utilising Endeavour systems (Google Suite, Tableau etc).
- Proficient in presenting data in various forms for presentations (Google Slides)
- Commercial acumen - ability to analyse and interpret various data points relating to Risk and Protection, and develop insights.
- Demonstrated time / task management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Data / analytics experience in a significant retail or commercial business.
- Adaptable and effective communication skills and working style in a complex and ambiguous environment.

Desirable Skills:

- Successful Venue Management experience.
