**Position Overview**:
As the Data Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the data migration process, ensuring seamless transition and integration of data from legacy systems to the ERP platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including IT, software development, and business stakeholders to define requirements, develop migration strategies, and execute the migration plan effectively.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the design and implementation of data migration strategies, considering factors such as data volume, complexity, and integrity.
- Assess existing data structures and schemas in legacy systems to identify potential challenges and opportunities for optimisation.
- Develop scripts, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines, and data migration tools to automate and streamline the migration process.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure compatibility and scalability of data storage and processing solutions.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of migrated data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Develop and maintain documentation of data migration processes, including data mapping, transformation rules, and error-handling procedures.
- Proactively identify and address issues, risks, and dependencies that may impact the success of the migration project.
- Continuously monitor and optimise data migration performance, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience 7 years in data engineering roles, with a focus on data migration projects.
- Deep understanding of data modelling, database design, and data integration techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Talend, Informatica) and data migration frameworks.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle ERP Cloud) and their data models is preferred.
